Rough sweetpotato weevil (Blosyrus asellus) is an insect pest. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Hawaii in 2008.

Adults are foliage-feeding and create notches along the edges of the sweet potato leaves. The white grubs of this weevil live beneath the soil and eat grooves in the potato storage root.
