Dothistroma septosporum

Dothistroma needle blight (Dothistroma septosporum) is a fungal pathogen of Pine trees. It is a native of Cloud Forests of Central America and was first detected in Missouri in 1984.

This disease spreads rapidly in mild climates with high rainfall, or frequent fog and mist. Defoliation occurs within weeks.
