Epilachna varivestis

Mexican bean beetle (Epilachna varivestis) is an insect pest. It was first detected in Kansas in 1961.

The beetle can also live on cowpea, black-eyed pea, and soybean, and may attack mung, adsuki, and velvet bean, alfalfa, and clover. In some areas this beetle is a very serious pest of snapbean, lima beans, and soybeans.
