Bamboo borer

Chlorophorus annularis

Bamboo borer (Chlorophorus annularis) is an insect pest of bamboo. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Hawaii in 1968.

Interceptions occur frequently with imported bamboo, but this pest is not established in the Continental United States.
